Laura has participated in music her whole life, surrounded by a musical family playing everything from trumpet to mandolin and guitar.  She studied brass instruments since she was twelve and majored in french horn and voice in college.  Laura received a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Masters in Sport and Recreation Management from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, along with a Connecticut Teaching Certificate. 

Laura has recorded with Mighty Purple and performed at weddings and corporate benefit events.  She also teaches swing dance lessons and is the current leader of the professional swing dance performance group, The Rhythm Rousers, www.rhythmrousers.com.  She is a major contributor and choreographer within the group.  Laura also enjoys being the co-advisor of the Guilford High School Swing Dance Club.

Focusing on chorus, recorders and movement, Laura teaches elementary music in Orange to grades 1-6 and private piano and brass lessons at RVP Studios.
